| Chachauate
is the most unique place where we host language programs. It
is a tiny cay (island) located 14 miles off the coast of Northern
Honduras. It is a part of what is called Cayos Cochinos or Hog
Cays. This small island which can be walked in a matter of minutes
is inhabited by 300 Garifunas and “Indios”. We serve
3 deaf on the island, as well as 5 deaf in the gateway village
of Nueva Armenia. |
