Zamora is a rural village situated among African Palm Fields at the base of a lush tropical mountain.  In 2009 we started hosting language programs in this village, combining it with programs we were hosting in a neighboring community.  The program is flourishing, and on average we have 12 deaf people attending. The program’s participants are dedicated to learning despite the ridicule and disdain from their community. We look forward to seeing the stigma towards the deaf abolished in this community as the deaf begin to embrace hope & opportunity.
